lrt sumsel operasional hingga pukul 02.00 wib di malam tahun baru, antisipasi lonjakan penumpang                            sumateraekspres.id – dalam rangka menyambut malam pergantian tahun, lrt sumsel akan memperpanjang jam operasional hingga pukul 02.00 wib dini hari pada malam tahun baru 2024.
kebijakan ini diambil untuk memenuhi kebutuhan transportasi masyarakat, terutama bagi mereka yang merayakan malam tahun baru di sejumlah lokasi populer seperti benteng kuto besak (bkb) dan jakabaring sport city (jsc), yang diperkirakan akan menggelar berbagai acara.

kepala balai pengelola kereta api ringan sumatera selatan (bpkarss), rode paulus gp mengungkapkan bahwa penyesuaian jadwal ini berlaku mulai 31 desember 2024 hingga 1 januari 2025.
"kami akan beroperasi lebih lama hingga pukul 02.00 wib untuk mengakomodasi para penumpang yang merayakan malam tahun baru, mengingat banyak warga dan wisatawan yang mengunjungi bkb dan jsc yang akan menggelar acara perayaan," ujarnya saat menghadiri press tour capaian kinerja lrt sumsel 2024 di hotel beston, selasa (10/12).

selain itu, untuk mengantisipasi lonjakan penumpang selama libur natal dan tahun baru (nataru), lrt sumsel telah menambah jumlah perjalanan sejak awal november 2024.
rode menjelaskan bahwa pada akhir pekan, jumlah perjalanan telah ditambah dari 94 perjalanan menjadi 102 perjalanan per hari pada jam sibuk antara pukul 10.00 hingga 16.00 wib.
pada periode nataru, yang dimulai dari 23 desember 2024 hingga 7 januari 2025, lrt sumsel akan tetap menjalankan 102 perjalanan per hari.

"dengan penambahan perjalanan ini, waktu tunggu penumpang yang semula 18 menit akan menjadi lebih singkat, yakni hanya 9 menit. kami juga melakukan penambahan kapasitas pada setiap perjalanan," kata rode.
meski terjadi lonjakan penumpang, rode menegaskan bahwa tarif lrt sumsel tidak akan mengalami perubahan.
"tarif tetap rp5.000 untuk perjalanan dari stasiun mana saja, kecuali dari bandara, yang tarifnya tetap rp10.000 sesuai ketetapan kementerian keuangan," tambahnya.

dengan adanya langkah-langkah antisipasi ini, lrt sumsel berharap dapat memberikan pelayanan optimal bagi masyarakat yang membutuhkan transportasi selama perayaan natal dan tahun baru, serta membantu kelancaran mobilitas warga palembang dan wisatawan yang merayakan pergantian tahun.
