gawat, 30 persen pelanggan pdam seberang ulu terdampak kekeruhan air                            palembang, sumateraekspres.id - banjir yang melanda beberapa wilayah di sumatera selatan, termasuk tanjung enim, oku, dan muara enim, telah berdampak pada kualitas air bersih yang dikelola oleh perusahaan air minum daerah (perumda) tirta musi palembang.
sebanyak 30 persen dari 60 ribu pelanggan di wilayah seberang ulu, palembang, mengalami gangguan akibat kekeruhan air.
direktur operasional perumda tirta musi palembang, cik mit, menjelaskan bahwa tingkat kekeruhan air atau turbidity biasanya berada di antara 50 hingga 70 ntu.
namun, sejak minggu, 26 mei 2024, tingkat turbidity air baku di sungai ogan mencapai 980 ntu.

"dengan kondisi tersebut, perumda tirta musi melakukan pengurangan kapasitas produksi di instalasi pengolahan air (ipa) ogan dari 1280 liter per detik menjadi 1150 liter per detik, atau sekitar 130 liter per detik lebih rendah," ujar cik mit pada kamis (30/5).
penurunan produksi ini diperlukan karena tingkat kekeruhan di luar ambang produksi. "agar instalasi tetap beroperasi, kapasitas produksi air harus diturunkan sebanyak 30 persen, sehingga air yang dihasilkan sesuai dengan standar permenkes 2/2023," jelasnya.
meski demikian, hasil kekeruhan di bawah 3 ntu, dengan angka sekitar 2 ntu, masih layak dikonsumsi. namun, air baku saat ini sedikit berwarna sehingga hasilnya tampak agak keputihan, tetapi masih aman untuk dikonsumsi.
tingkat kekeruhan air telah menurun menjadi sekitar 250 ntu, yang tidak mempengaruhi operasi instalasi.
"jika kondisi cuaca cerah dan tidak ada banjir lagi di wilayah yang berdampak pada sumber air baku sungai ogan, perkiraan kondisi akan normal kembali dalam 7-10 hari," tambahnya.

cik mit menjelaskan kepada warga seberang ulu bahwa pengurangan kapasitas produksi menyebabkan distribusi air ke pelanggan berkurang.
"air mungkin keluar hanya beberapa jam sehari atau hanya pada malam hari karena pengurangan kapasitas sebesar 30 persen," paparnya.
selain itu, air yang sedikit berwarna tidak masalah dan aman digunakan sesuai standar permenkes, pungkasnya.
