upaya perbaikan pipa bocor akibat tanah longsor oleh perumda tirta seguring betung di empat lawang                            sumateraekspres.id – perumda tirta seguring betung kabupaten empat lawang tengah melakukan upaya pencegahan dini melalui preventive maintenance terhadap jaringan distribusi utama (jdu) pipa 8 inch di kawasan desa kemang manis, kecamatan tebing tinggi. 
langkah ini diambil sebagai antisipasi terhadap potensi kerusakan yang dapat mempengaruhi layanan air bersih kepada masyarakat.
plt direktur perumda tirta seguring betung, hendra rosada, turun langsung ke lapangan untuk memantau proses perbaikan ini.
menurutnya, kondisi pipa saat ini cukup mengkhawatirkan akibat terjadinya tanah longsor.

"tanah longsor membuat beban pipa tidak merata, sehingga pipa yang seharusnya lurus menjadi melengkung," jelasnya, selasa (22/10/24).
hendra menambahkan, tindakan perawatan ini sangat penting untuk mencegah terjadinya kerusakan fatal seperti patah atau terputusnya jaringan distribusi utama pipa 8 inch. 
"sebelumnya, sudah terdeteksi adanya indikasi kebocoran pada jaringan akibat tekanan pipa yang menekuk. kondisi ini menyebabkan bagian ujung jaringan terangkat dan rembes. jika tidak segera ditangani, 900 sambungan rumah (sr) akan terdampak, dan layanan air bersih akan terganggu," tegas hendra.
dengan adanya perawatan pipa ini, diharapkan distribusi air bersih di wilayah tersebut tetap lancar dan tidak mengalami kendala.
